Working with bookmarks
In a book, we use bookmarks to find the corresponding pages more quickly later. It is the same with digital bookmarks in our browsers. We can use them to store bookmarks on individual internet addresses so that we can find them again more quickly later.
Preparation
All you need to prepare is a PC and an internet connection. Alternatively, this exercise can also take place on a tablet or smartphone.
The exercise focuses on the Mozilla Firefox browser. However, the techniques described here can be found in slightly modified versions in other browsers such as Google Chrome.
Method / Process description
Participants learn how to use bookmarks.
Preparation
- The participants are informed about the possibilities of working with bookmarks:
- Setting bookmarks
- Organising / managing bookmarks
- Advantages and disadvantages of bookmarks
- Using bookmarks across devices
Task
- The participants are asked to create their own bookmark structure and to store the pages they visit frequently in this structure.
